We hear all the time about people wanting to do business with people they know, like and trust. Truth is that people only want to do business with people they can rely on.
Trust is a very critical aspect of business, absolutely. But that trust can be broken very quickly. And how that’s broken very quickly is when you demonstrate in your actions that you don’t do what you say you’re going to do.
Simply put, if you want more sales, understand your customers are relying on you to show up, every time.
I’ll give you an example of what I’m talking about. In my training, I speak about how we can increase our conversion rates by up to 400%.
A study was done by a professor called Dr. Michael Jensen. It was a Harvard study done back in the nineties.
Dr Jenson proved that your conversion rates will go up naturally by 300%, when you do what you say you’re going to do.
That is self-integrity.
I can’t share with you how often I speak to people that tell me that they’re going to do something, and they never do it. And when they don’t do it, what they’re demonstrating to me is that I can’t trust them to show up, and I can’t trust them to be a man or a woman of their word.
That is critically important for anybody that I’m going to do business with! And I assume it is for you too.
A great example of that is, when was the last time you said you were going to book into someone’s diary and make an appointment to see them, or talk to them and not do it? Or you made the booking and didn’t show up?
When was the last time you said you going to call someone back, and you didn’t do it?
When was the last time you said that you’re going to send a quote by a certain time and did not do it?
When was the last time… you can see where we’re going with this…?
What I teach in my programs is simply Do As I Do.
That is true leadership. People only want to deal with leaders. They want to deal with experts that they can rely on and trust.
So, if you want to increase your sales conversion rates with prospects, The best way to do that, right from the beginning is to do what you say you’re going to do full stop.!
And if you can demonstrate that time after time, after time, I guarantee you, not only will people do business with you, not only will they do repeat business with you, but that’s when they will refer to you. And that’s when your conversion rates will go through the roof because it’s so much easier doing business with somebody who’s been referred to you, than it is to do business with somebody completely cold that we’re canvassing out of the blue.
